Are you an organised, detail-oriented professional with a passion for process and precision? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Assistant to join a growing, family-owned business.
This is a key administrative role within the Purchasing team, supporting the smooth operation of stock ordering and delivery processes and playing a vital part in ensuring product availability and supplier communications.
Description of the role:
- Raise purchase orders and maintain expected availability dates.
- Expedite orders with overseas suppliers and report delays to the Purchasing Manager.
- Communicate stock availability and updates to the Sales team and address related queries.
- Liaise with suppliers to gather product data for new seasonal product launches.
- Maintain accurate records in the ERP system.
- Manage the purchasing inbox and respond promptly to enquiries.
- Run monthly performance and supplier reports.
- Support the Purchasing Manager with ad hoc administrative tasks.
About you:
- Experience in a purchasing or administrative role preferred.
- Strong communication skills; experience working with overseas suppliers desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- ERP system experience (Business Central desirable, but training provided).
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
