Maintenance Electrician

We're currently recruiting for a manufacturing team who are wanting to add a Maintenance Electrician to their team. The role with play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, diagnosing faults, and contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of their production processes

Description of the role:

• Repair and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components as required.
• Conduct fault finding on automated electrical systems, utilising PLC diagnostic skills.
• Perform preventative maintenance testing on electrical systems and components.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all electrical components are functioning correctly and comply with safety regulations.
• Attend relevant training and development activities.
• Mentor and train apprentices within the department.

About you:

• Time served electrical engineer with appropriate technical qualifications.
• HNC qualified or 3 years of industrial experience
• 17th/18th Edition qualification preferred.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Resilient and able to work effectively under pressure.
• Good organisation and IT skills
• Familiarity with Siemens PLC control and drive systems preferred.
• Ability to read and understand electrical control drawings.
